Testimonies 2009

VICTORIA
Hi
Hope you had a nice
Christmas, did you get any of that big
snow fall. Since we are waiting on the
weather , thought I would drop you a
line, what name doe's she go by.
And what kind off papers will I
receive, and will thy come with her or
will you mail them.
Victoria made it through
Christmas okay, didn't mess with my tree
or Christmas stuff she was real good. I
have attached some photos.
Elizabeth
No. Bene sees no
benefit from climbing. He does want
to go to the top of the tower so has
developed a lengthy and contorted
way of getting there. He jumps up to
window level and somehow manages to
turn himself completely around on
the very narrow sill and leap onto
the top of the tower. When he wants
to come down he throws himself
wildly into space and vaguely aims
for the bed. You didn't tell me I
was getting a flying squirrel.
However I am a perfectly good
elevator. He has even pressed "Not
the Mama" into service on occasion.
He is a hoot and a half!!
I feel so sorry
for the little classic black SE
female. She is a gorgeous girl. I'll
keep my fingers crossed for her.
Bluzzer is also a darling boy.Hope
you guys have stayed warm. Long
underwear is the uniform of the day
here and all the stores are sold
out. When I was little my Grandmother
told me that when she was a child
the Moms would sew the kids into
long underwear when it got cold and
they didn't get removed until
spring. Can you imagine what room
full of kids smelled like by the end
of February?
On that odiferous
note I'll sign off.

Bullwinkle
SASHA
Hi Suzanne,
I hope you had a Merry Christmas! We
sure did as did Sasha! She has become
such a part of our family and gets along
remarkably well with our pomeranian.
Thanks again for helping
Michael surprise me with her for my
birthday. His return from a year of
military service in Iraq laced with a
new kitty made the perfect Christmas for
my kids and me. I hope you enjoy the
pictures--

YOU GOT ME! My husband surprised me
with Sasha last night! She fit in
perfectly! I was so upset when I
read your email stating that she was
gone and had NO IDEA Michael was the one
who purchased her! I will send you
pictures of her with my family very
soon. Thank you so much!
Lee
Hi
Suzanne,
I just took my x-mas tree down
and Gracie was a big help. When
I sit down at the computer, she
pats my leg until I pick her up
to the desk. She has so many
tricks she uses. When my
boyfriend comes over and sits
beside me, she looks at him like
what are you doing there.
Saturday he got up and she
immediately got in his spot and
he came back and sat on the
floor. I didn't know a two lb.
ball of fur could take over an
entire house but she has and I
love it. I still look at your
kittens from time to time but I
can't have another one, she is a
full time job and I only have
one lap which is where she is
right now!
Hi from Gracie,
Betsy
PLANTAGENET
Hello Suzanne,
I hope you enjoyed your holidays
and I wish you a very happy new
year! I'm sending a recent
(early December) picture of
Plantagenet so you can see how
he is developing.
He is quite affectionate and
well tempered, and I'm very
pleased with him. His coat is
such a pleasure to touch! The
previous GI issues of not
digesting Royal Canin kitten
kibble seem to have resolved by
returning him to Science Diet. I
am also testing the PurinaOne as
you suggested.
I'll send another picture in a
few months.
Heather

ELIZABETH
I know you are probably sick of
getting pictures of my babies, but I
get so few "good" ones of
Elizabeth.
This is sooooooooooo good.
Love Dixie
NATASHA
Dear Suzanne,
Thought you would like a
picture of Natasha who will
be ten months old in two
weeks and weighs 9.10 lbs.
She is an amazing kitten,
full of energy and is a
little comedienne who makes
us laugh every day. She is
our constant companion.
We still have her on Science
Diet dry for kittens, with
just about a spoonful daily
of canned mixed in. Since
she has a delicate stomach
and with any more of canned
Science Diet she gets
diarrhea.
Our Vet has told us that she
is a perfectly proportioned
kitten and that we could
show her.

She gets more beautiful
every day, all thanks to
you, Suzanne.
We wish you a Happy New
Year.

MAGGIE AND WINSTON
First of all Winston is rather
perfect cat with good
manners.doesn't cause trouble.
Little miss Maggie is totally
different species.she let the
Xmas tree be before Xmas,once
presents had been opened,she
decided it's time to strip the
tree.now we have pretty much all
lights&ornaments etc removed
from lower branches by little
monster.also she decided to re-
locate the tree skirt.
She has also trained hard to
jump higher up and also "the
longjump" is improving,not
forgeting climbing.
I have beautiful
flowers,including lilies,on top
of the entertainment unit.this
is off limits from the
kitties.Maggie had decided that
some rules doesn't concern
her,plus she likes pretty
things,pretty smells&anything
shiny...when we were not
looking,she had explored these
pretty flowers and forgot to get
rid of the evidence.now we have
classic silver tabby with
yellow/orange head&neck.the
pollen in the lillies stain
anything&everything.
I could say her first xmas went
by without incidents,it's the
after Xmas time when things
started happening.
I don't remember Winston causing
so much trouble when he was a
baby.
Nor was he so demanding to get
attention.
At the moment Winston is playing
low profile,knowing he has his
annual check up on next
week.he's going to be told to
get on diet once again.
No more excuses having big
bones.
Happy New Year!
The Ackrell "zoo"
The tree is standing but the
kitchen table decor is
getting her attention.
peacock napkin holders have
been found all over the
place.
She has figured out how to
jump high up & long
distance.nothing is safe.
At least she is sweet
natured,LOL
Winston likes to get his
"secret" attention.he's been
rather loving mood.and the
best place to get some
peace&quiet is in george's
room
BUFF AND HENRY

If we can stop Henry
and Buff from
playing long enough
we'll get some great
shots. There both
doing fine..
We
see Henry chasing
Buff through the
house and shortly
after that Buff
comes
running through
chasing after
Henry.
All
the registrations
and chip has been
started.

Our
local vet has all
his information
also. So he's
packaged and ready
to play. We get
many compliments
about him.

GRACIE NOEL the X-MAS CAT
Happy New Year Suzanne,
I just wanted to let you know
how much I am enjoying Gracie.
She is with me 24-7. I got her
a cat tree which she gets on but
her favorite place is my lap!
Everybody thinks she is so
beautiful (and spoiled). I got
her registration paper today,
Gracie Noel the X-Mas Cat. She
got a $25 gift card to Petsmart
from my son for x-mas. She is
wonderful company and I love
her!

COLUMBO
AND WINSTON
Suzanne
- Merry Christmas to you and your
family! Attached is a recent picture of
Winston & Columbo, they are both doing
fine.

Just wanted you to see the boys and
know they are doing great and we enjoy
them! We check out your website
regularly to see all the new kittens.
Take care and enjoy the holidays!

SIR
BENTLEY FUZZPANTS AND CLUSEAU
I
bought the boys a new tower for
Christmas. They had outgrown the old
one and every time Bene flew through
the air and landed in the cup he
turned it over. Cluseau surprised me
by gathering up the junk in his
trunk and climbing up the tower like
a spider. That is when I discovered
that Bene can run and jump like a
champ but the poor boy can’t climb
at all. I’ll have to have a talk
with Cluseau and see if we can put
together a training program for Bene.
If we can’t come up with something
it’s climbing rehab for Bene for
sure.
Best wishes for Happy Holidays to
all of you and the Kittehs. It’s
almost time for a new crop of spring
kittehs to make you happy crazy.
I’ll be checking the web site every
night. That’s my happy before
bedtime prep. BTW I’ve meant to tell
you ever since our visit you have an
awesome surgery.

and battered big brother Cluseau
ROCCO DESPIRITO
Hey Suzanne,
It's end of the year pic time. Rocco is
doing great.
He is about 20lbs and finally done growing. He is so easy to get along
with and plays with the other cats each
day. Even the grumpy Russian Blue lets
him walk close without her hissing.

The Exotic loves him best and follows
him everywhere.

He likes to snuggle with Stacy
while she is watching TV. We are
thankful he is so healthy and we thank
you for such a fine breeding program.

Hope you like them!

DIXIE AND MAGGIE
Hi Suzanne,
Remember our
sticky paper kitty? She is all
grown up.
She is beautiful
and sweet. Needs to be combed
often.
Looking out the
window at the birds is a
favorite pastime of our

CHARLOTTE AND AUSTIN
Hi Suzanne,
I thought you’d like the attached,
Charlotte and Austin sitting by the
screen door in our place in
Florida. They get along beautifully
together, running and playing a good
part of each morning. Charlotte is
as sweet as always.
She loves being held by everybody, including our in-laws who are visiting
us. Austin is, as you said, a real
character, especially when it comes
to grabbing food from plates. Thus
far, he has destroyed 7 Christmas
tree ornaments and counting!
Hope all is well with you.
Best wishes for the holidays,
Shelley
MAGGIE AND
WINSTON
Turkey...tasty.
Little miss
Maggie is just a bit confused
kitty. Sitting like human after
eating too much turkey.
Actually there's
not such a thing like eating too
much...at least not for her. She
eats pretty much
anything and
everything. Hoovers down the dog
food if some happens to fall on
the floor.
Human food, all
tasty.
One would think
she doesn't get much to
eat....Winston on the other hand
is totally tuna kind of guy.
( And if given
chance Maggie will eat Winston's
tuna right from under his nose,
poor dude. )
But they seem to get along just
fine. Winston takes a break from
Maggie by going to nap in
George's room.
We haven't got
the xmas tree yet, but we have
bets on Maggie being a tree
climber.
Maggie is bit
more shy what comes to people
visiting. She likes to hide
first and then graciously comes
to say hello.
Winston is, on
the other hand, first one to
greet everyone.
Maggie is total
cuddle bug and Winston likes
"secret cuddles" ( = when no one
else sees him being cuddly
)...men...
Winston is up to
his annual on January. I let
Mark to take him to the vet and
be told off about Winston's
weight.
I think Winston
might have lost few oz, but
still bit of a butterball. I
keep all the animals on strict
diet and Mark has a bad habit
over feeding
everyone. ( + last time I got
nasty scratches when trying to
put Winston in a carrier...he
hates to be in the carrier and
I could hear it
all the way to the vet and back.
Someone could have thought I was
torturing the poor dude. )
Anyways, all good
in Ackrell zoo. Getting ready
for the xmas season.
Hope all well
w/you and the family.
I'll try to take
some xmas pics for you.
MAU MAU AND
ANFI
Hi Suzanne,
Just to
let
you know that Mau’s
documents arrived
this
weekend and he’s doing perfect.

His
relationship with Anfi is improving
everyday. She is so sweet and patient
with him, it’s like if Mau were her
baby.

I got this
picture of Anfi and old Mau so that you
can
meet them.
I’ve been taking many pictures of little
Mau to send you but first I have to pass
them to my computer at home because they
all are in my cell phone’s memory.
GREMLIN AND
POOF
Hi Suzanne- I can
only imagine the sighs of relief heard
all over Arkansas when you exported
these brain-damaged Brits <G>
I'm thinking of shaving Gremlin's tail
so we can tell them apart <G> Otherwise
you only have to pick up a spoon or
paper plate to separate them...Poof has
no interest whatsoever in people food,
and G will climb your body in a second.
They still aggravate Jelly--if she naps
in a chair, they'll jump up and poke her
or climb up in stalking mode "til she
leaves the room. They still push her out
of the food or water bowls and she just
leaves. Tried squirt guns to alter
behavior and they just get excited and
run around looking for more water..
. If I go back to bed after Laura goes
to work, she comes up every 20min
grunting and squeaking like a rusty
hinge until I get up. Jelly was due for
annual checkup in Nov, but we haven't
gotten the recall card yet. Planning on
taking them all in at the same time as
the Doc will really want to see these
guys. I'll see if she can clip Poofs
claws...We've tried t!
wi!
ce and she makes hamburger of our hands
and arms even if she's wrapped up. 4
wheel drive brings her out and onto the
floor every time, yet she'll lay on
Laura's lap and let you touch her feet (
kind of touchy on the rear ones tho ). I
was thinking about emailing you for the
last 2 days and you beat me to it.
More later--MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY
NEW YEAR
Marion & Laura
GODRIC
sorry it took so long getting back to
you the drive was good he didn't really
cry at all. I got him to my place and he
kept hiding and exploring the new
environment at first but now he is
warming up to me and my sister and
really playful. He didn't really eat
much the first night i brought him here
but he is eating good now, I bought him
a bunch of toys and went ahead and
bought a big bag of the science diet
kitten chow. just been giving him a
bunch of attention. We love him and
would still love to get another little
boy one of the cream colored we were
talking about so he'll have a play mate.
If you could let me know when there
ready to breed if you don't mind keeping
me informed. Again thank you so
much we love our new addition to the
family and it was great to finally meet
you and hope to hear from you again.
-Megan

Merry Christmas
and happy new year from France.

Cattery Les Grenadines de Célan
BURTON, CIELO AND OSITO
Suzanne,
I
cannot believe where the time has
gone. Burton, your first male
retiree, has been with us for almost
2 years now. He turned 8 in July,
but doesn’t act or show his age, but
then neither do any of our boys.
We
have an excellent veterinarian
looking out for him and keeping him
healthy. The entire veterinarian
staff gets excited whenever my boys
come in, especially Burton because
he demands to be petted by
everyone. All visitors to our home
have to touch them and cannot
believe how soft & dense their fur
is. I wish there was still a large
picture of Burton on your website
since some of his “children” are
still in your breeding program.

Osito, my largest black boy, will be
9 in a couple of weeks. He came to
us as a kitten from Elusive Blue.
He is my gently giant with a very
large “hiss” when he needs to assert
his authority. I am sure you
remember that Cielo is one of yours.
He will be 6 in January. We show
him his mother Vina on your website
as he cruises the desk for
attention. Cielo my be the
smallest, but he sure pushes his
weight around & can be very vocal at
letting both human and feline
companions know what he is
thinking. He also has both a smile
& pout that he uses to let everyone
know his mood.

I
fully believe the British Shorthair
is one of the best natured cats a
person could ever by “owned” by!
Thanks!
Bobby, Jan, Ostio, Burton & Cielo
MAU
MAU
Hi Suzanne,
Great news!! Mau is getting along
with Anfi so fast and so well that
it amazes me!
It’s been only a week since Mau
arrived and by now he feels so
confident at home. He spends most of
the day exploring our home and now
he knows every single sound and he
even recognizes our voices when we
talk to him, he’s beautiful and
unique.
I hope to get the chance to take a
picture of Mau and Anfi together so
that I can email it to you because
it’s also impressive the size and
weight difference between them! He
is so small and she used to be the
small one compared to old Mau.
Thanks again for everything.
Muchos, muchos saludos from MX,
Zamira + Mau + Anfi =^..^=
Hi
Suzanne,
Mau is
awesome. He is so
smart, so little, so cute, so
full of life.
We are in love with
him J
Everything with his
paperwork is done.
It was a pain but it
was all worthy and now we’re finally
enjoying him.
I couldn’t write you
yesterday because we had like a training
day outside the office and by the time
we’d finished
I just wanted to go home and get all the
details
because my hubby
decided to stay
at
home to babysit Mau
who’s taken
over of our bedroom and by this time all
the
little
spots in our bedroom
have been already
found
and explored. He
jumps here, he jumps there…he gets into
our closets and
plays with our
shoelaces.
It’s so amazing the
way Mau is getting used to us and to his
new home so quickly and I can’t put in
word all the joy Mau has brought to us.
Mau has already met
ANFISA (our
blue
girl) and they just
looked each other and the funny thing
was that both of them got the same
expression in their faces saying
“where did you come
from?! And who
are you?!”
They haven’t
been together all
day; they just spend
a few moments
together every time
we let Anfi get in
our bedroom.
And during those
moments they
just watch each other. We have a
scratching tree in our bedroom
so Anfi
goes to the top so
that she can
get a better view from
up there to
observe Mau
while he’s jumping
here, jumping there, sleeping on our
bed, playing with a
small
plastic
egg that I gave him,
I mean he’s not aware that he’s been
studied by Anfi, he’s just having fun
and nothing else matters.
I’m also happy
because Mau is eating
well, is going to his litter properly
and he’s being such a wonderful and
beautiful kitten.
This weekend we’re
going to let
him explore the rest of
the
house. We have no
plans for the
weekend and since he’s a brave little
kitten it might be a good idea.
And you were right,
he talks a lot! Oh my God, what a pair
of lungs does
he have!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh my! His fist day
in MX…he was complaining about God knows
what!
And then my husband
asked me:
“Hey, are you sure Suzanne hasn’t taught
him bad words? Because that
what he’s complaining
about doesn’t
sound nice”
Thank you,
Suzanne.
Thank you
so much
for making
all this possible.
I’m never going to
get tired
of saying that
because it’s all truth.
Thank you, thank you,
thank you
J
Muchos saludos

TIPPER
Suzanne,
Everything went great. We're getting
ready to leave for home. This little
guy has slept with , on us and in
between, played with us. He is at my
feet right now, wanting on my lap.
He is an amazing little guy. I found
no signs of him going potty in the
cage. He went thru the night in the
poop box. He's been eating good and
I can't praise you enough for the
good job you have done.
He has just got up on my husbands
lap and rubbed all over him. Got to
go so we can get home. This has been
a long trip. We are use to going to
bed at 9-930 and we got to bed at
midnight and then Tipper had to play
off and on through the night. I'll
keep in touch.
June, Charles & Tipper
SHADOW
This is her first
night. I may have to name her Shadow
because she is with me all the time. I
have given her some Clavamox because she
sneezed a few times. How much Friskies
should she eat a day? She has a great
appetite but I don't want to overfeed
her. She is eating off Lenox china. Yes,
she's spoiled already but she's just too
cute!
Betsy

Yes, she wants
constant
attention. She
cried while I
was doing my
hair and
make-up. She
loves being
petted and cries
when she's out
of my sight.
She's crying
right now
because I'm on
the computer.
My friend Scott
who took me to
the airport to
get her said
she's the
prettiest kitten
he's ever seen.
She's going to
be fine. The
first place she
went was under
the x-mas tree,
she likes the
bows! She ate
good this
morning, has
used both litter
boxes, and has
drank water.
She was thirsty
last night. I
know it's time
for a nap but
she's too busy
exploring! I'll
keep you
updated, she
sounds so
pitiful when
she's crying.
She has been
sitting beside
me on the sofa
and fell
asleep. I came
upstairs and she
started crying.
She is already a
good companion!
I'd better get
back
downstairs. Do
you clip their
nails and brush
their teeth and
should I leave
that for the
vet?
Betsy
TANGO
Hi, Suzanne,
It's been quite a while
since I wrote and I just
wanted you to see a recent
photo of Tango.
He is now 4yrs old. I bought
him in 2005 and you have his
photo on your testimonial
page of your website.
Tango is my heart, my love,
my beautiful boy. I love him
more then words can
describe. He is a fateful
companion, and always
willing to play. I can't
imagine my life without him
and want to thank you for
the wonderful way in which
you brought him up.
