TILLY
Tilly and Daisy
are getting along great! She has
totally stopped hissing and growling
at Daisy. Daisy is already attached
to Tilly and has to know where she
is at all times; she has shown no
aggression toward her but I still
monitor them closely due to the size
disparity. I think they will end up
being great friends.
Tilly is such a
well-adjusted kitten. She is
curious about everything and is
absolutely fearless. She allows
anyone to pet her, but has really
bonded with Jon and me. Loves long
petting/massage sessions on our
laps. Noises, strangers and lots of
activity don’t startle her. She has
a good appetite and uses the litter
box fine. She’s decided to sleep
with us at night even though I gave
her a number of other kitty bed
options. I’m still working on
getting her to use the various
approved scratching posts
instead of the porch screens,
furniture and curtains. But, I
expected that challenge.
Thanks again for
bringing her to the motel!

RILEY
Hi Suzanne,
Just thought I'd let you know we
made it home in good shape this
afternoon - no car sickness!
Riley is just trying to figure
out where he is and who we are.
He doesn't want to be alone but
he's just a little bit afraid of
us, so's doing a lot of meowing
and walking forward and then
backing up. Poor guy - he's had
a lot of changes in the last few
days! Hopefully he'll feel more
comfortable in a short time.
Right now Jeff has him pretty
cranked up playing with a wand
toy, so that's good!
I was looking at the pedigree
sheet you gave me and saw some
familiar names. If I'm reading
it correctly, Flamin Delilah's
great grandparents on her dad's
side (Life O'The Party and
Cricket Girl) were actually
Bailey's parents. I realize
it's not a real big world when
it comes to British Shorthair's,
but I really enjoy the idea that
I've brought home a little
relative of Bailey's!
Again, thanks for all your
help. I'll keep you posted on
his progress!

SEBASTIAN
Suzanne,
He is still wonderful. He is eating
and drinking just fine, and is as
cuddly as ever. He has shown some
serious interest in the toys we
bought him, and is a little bundle
of energy.
Thanks for checking in!

BURLEIGH
Suzanne: Burleigh was wonderful.
Very easy to travel with. He
complains in the car, but pretty
much quiets down if I talk to him.
And on the flights he just settled
down and slept. Also, in the
airports he likes to watch the
people. And he was very patient
going through security. A great
traveler.
He is investigating the house,
but knows where his litter box is
and is using his scratching post
pretty regularly. He only needs a
bit of encouragement about the
scratching post. But it didn't take
long before Burleigh got the idea.
He's quite smart and quite a
character.
Camden, who is five times bigger
than Burleigh, is accepting him
quite well. In fact, Burleigh
snarled and growled at Camden so
loudly at first that Camden was
afraid of him. Now, however, they
get along, lie next to each other
and are starting to play. No great
running and chasing as yet, but its
pretty peaceful (considering there
is a kitten in the house.)
Burleigh has settled in nicely.
He broke his first piece of pottery
yesterday, and, like all cats,
denied having knocked it off the
shelf. Someone else did that, he
said and continued to play with his
mousey. I keep him locked in my
bedroom at night, but he runs freely
throughout the house all day. The
biggest problem is that he wants to
investigate the garage. Since he is
so small, we have to keep a very
close eye on him so he doesn't dart
out the door.
I'll send pix as he grows. And
keep you updated. Thanks for
everything.

Sir Bentley Fuzzypants the destroyer of
Carriers
Your kitties are the best to be had
and I’d really like to have another
one when the time comes. He’s got to
be able to stand up to Bene though
so I’ll count on you to pick me out
a little monster.
Bene’s check up was perfect. He
still weighs in at 8 pounds. Cluseau
didn’t make a sound all the way to
the vet’s. But that was O.K. Bene
sang the entire Halleluiah
Chorus..ALL the parts… all the way
through several times at the top of
his lungs all the while destroying
his carrier. We arrived screaming,
panting and drooling and that was
just me. The clerk looked up and
said,” I hear Bene’s here for his
appointment.” Then they all broke
out in laughter. When I took a look
at the front of the carrier I saw
four paws, a tail, multiple tufts of
fur and one ear trying to morph
through the door.
As
we were leaving I asked Coleman if
we could go to the tavern next door
and get knee walking drunk before we
got back in the car with Bene. That
is very funny since neither of us
drinks. Coleman said that there were
some upsides to being deaf as a
post.
Better let you get away from my
ramblings.
Barb
Halp!!!
I’ve got an 8 pound problem that
I’m up against the wall about. I
had to take Bene to the vet this
week and he went berserk. It
took both of us to get him in
the carrier. This little boy who
never makes a sound screamed so
hard and long that he was
panting before we got there. He
fought the carrier so hard that
he turned a carrier that was
sitting flat on the seat up on
the door end. Do you have any
ideas about how we can get him
to the vet without turning both
of us into ICU patients? The vet
was ready to shoot me full of
horse tranqs and pour me back
into the car. Bene did not make
a single sound on the way home.
Tell me about the babies. I
loved seeing Mama and kitties
and I was very happy to see that
your blue long haired fold and
Peanut got new homes

KASUMI AND SOPRANO
Hi,
Thank you for your email! Now I feel
ridiculous to have worried over a baby
tooth but I couldn't remember Kasumi
losing a canine like that.
As promised, here are some pictures of
Soprano with his big sister Kasumi.
The first day Soprano was quite shy and
stayed in his safe room (our den).
We made him sleep in the den for the
first night, but the second day he was
already exploring his new home. Kasumi
was intrigued at first, then started
growling and hissing at him, and he was
hissing back. I never could have
imagined that such a small cat could
produce such noises! That was funny, but
I was a bit worried that she wouldn't
accept him in "her" home.

After a few days, Kasumi was more
relaxed and quickly started to accept
her new little brother. Now, they're
licking each other, wrestle sometimes
and became quite inseparable. She always
has to keep him in her sight, and as
soon as you put one in a room, the other
follows. Soprano loves to cuddle with us
on the couch when we are watching TV and
he is a purring machine! He is very
quiet compared to his very vocal big
sister. He loves to sleep above the
fireplace. Kasumi is very patient with
him and lets him play with her tail.
They generally play a lot together and
chase each other around the apartment.
I have one question: how big is an adult
male (compared to a female)? It already
looks like he's going to be a big cat!

RILEY
Hi Suzanne,
Riley is very sweet
and affectionate.
He especially loves
to have his tummy
rubbed; he had me
trained in that
while we still on
the car ride home.
He is also very
tolerant of being
handled and doesn't
get tense.
He is actually
eating the food as
fast as I can put it
out, so his tummy
has definitely
adjusted to his new
surroundings!
I'll keep you posted
on his progress - I
appreciate your
support and concern.
Shirley P.S. The bullseye
patterns on his
sides seem to be
getting more
pronounced every
day; it's really
pretty.
Riley
is still doing a lot of
vocalizing. We're a pretty
quiet household, so I've
been leaving tv on for him
to try to make him feel like
he's got more going on
around him, but so far he
hasn't been very impressed
with that. He enjoys
playing, and we've been
distracting (and wearing him
out) with that. He is
eating better than he was -
I got him some Royal Canine
dry kitten food and he seems
to like that a lot.
Hopefully he'll start
feeling more comfortable
with us soon!
DARCY
Darcy who is
living with Jim and Joyce Burns
in MI that we welcomed into our
home in November has become an
eco friendly cat. She has taught
herself to pull out electrical
cords and disconnect lamps and a
lap top when it was being
charged. She does this by
jumping on the cord and pulling
it out in the process with her
body weight! No kidding.
Then she
struts around with her tail
high. She is working on learning
to open drawers after her great
adventure of getting in an open
drawer and needed the back of
the furniture taken off
(partially to free her. She is
trying to get her paws under the
drawer handle on dressers!!!
Quite the whiz kid no kidding.
Joyce and Jim burns

Sorry I
couldn't help sharing these.
Note Darcy is so multi color she
has two white whiskers. The
first is of Darcy guarding the
dining room and the second is of
her taking over our bathroom
sink. My Sam (british) liked to
do that too. Think they're
related? I could write a book
about the adventures, or
misadventures of Darcy.

ZOEY
She is doing wonderful!! She
adjusted alot faster than i thought.
She follows me everywhere and is
very social with everyone. She is an
exciting addition!!
Thanks again so much and ill send
you pictures as she matures into a
even more beautiful coat!!

SHERLOCK
Just a quick note to let you
know we made it back to Houston, Tx ok.
He was meowing a lot so we decided to
open the top of the carrier and put the
litter box right next to the carrier It
work very well.
He would hop over to the litter box and
back to the carrier. He then hop on top
of the cooler we had and just watch.
This morning he was up and playing with
his many toys.
It was nice meeting you and the drive to
Arkansas was great too. We love Hot
Springs and will probably being
returning.

KISSKA ROSE
Kisska is still
doing fine. She has inspected the
entire house now but still prefers
"her" room. I am discovering her
special behavior. She has a thing
with the water bowl. At first, she
was spilling the water. I coudn't
figure out why until I watched. She
takes her paw and dips it in the
water then licks the water off her
paw. She will also paddle her paw
through the water to get more on her
paw. It looks quite funny. That is
how the water gets on the floor
(along with her moving the bowl
around). I have never seen a cat do
that. I have progressed to a heavy
dog-sized bowl that she can't move
around too much.
We are having
fun.
Thanks again for
giving me a special kitty.
Suzanne,
Thank you for
giving us a new member of our
family. Kisska has been doing fine.
She has claimed a room just for her.
We are allowed in to use the
computer and lie on the bed for a
petting session.
Kisska
ventures out in the den when she
wants to. I will enjoy getting to
know her better.
You told me that
she was born in 2005. I can't
remember what month. Her full name
is Kisska Rose?
Thanks again.

ROMEO
Suzanne! Thank you very much for this
angel. Romeo is so ours, very
comfortable and happy in our home, we
fall in love with him right away. he
sleeps, eats, goes in the litter, plays
a lot . We stay with him and Marquse every second,
Marquse older and bigger, was little
bit upset, but now he behaves better.
Romeo is not afraid of him and so funny
to watch them. Tomorrow my husband will
stay with them, and i hope they will be
friends soon. I go june 24 to alter
Marquse, doctor said after this he will
not dominate any more.
We very happy how and i will send his
pictures next week. Thank you very much
again.
Tanya
We made it back to Trenton... I
just wanted to say thank you
again! My mom was so tickled
that she cried, it was great!
She has already called me today
to let me know how good Sweet
Thing is doing and how much she
really likes her. Thank you for
all your help. Take Care.
Sincerely,
