BUDDY
Hi Suzanne -
I'm attaching the photos rather
than embedding them in the email
this time. Hopefully they'll
work now.
Thanks for putting our name on
Octavious! No rush - I don't
think I could do it to our old
girl just yet anyway. Buddy's
more than enough for her to deal
with.
Let me know if the photos still
don't work and I'll send you a
link to view them on the web.
Thanks.
Jennie
Hi
Suzanne
-
Thought
it was
time I
sent you
an
update
on Buddy
( we
adopted
back in
February
2009).
As you
can see
from the
photos,
he's a
wonderfully
handsome
boy.
Still
has his
tiger
stripes
on his
tail.
He's a
real
character
and the
most
affectionate
cat I've
ever
known.
He
and our
daughter
(now 6)
are best
buddies.
He waits
for her
to get
home
from
school
each day
and
follows
her
everywhere.
They're
so sweet
together.

Anyway,
just
wanted
you to
see how
he's
doing.
We have
another
indoor
cat
who's 15
now and
at the
beginning
stages
of renal
failure.
She has
high
blood
pressure
which
led to
temporary
blindness
that we
were
able to
reverse,
fortunately,
with BP
meds.
The
underlying
cause of
the BP
is the
kidney
issue.
We're
not sure
how long
she has
left but
when
it's her
time,
we'll
definitely
be
wanting
another
British
shorthair.
Since
Buddy is
so
wonderfully
socialized,
we'll
definitely
want
another
one of
yours.
It will
serve
him
right to
have a
pesky
youngster
to
bother
him
after
what he
puts our
old girl
through.
I check
in on
your
site
from
time to
time to
see the
new
kittens.
Just
love
your
blue and
white
boy
(Octavious).
Do you
take
reservations from
adoptive
families
for your
retired
cats?
If so,
would be
very
interested
in
Octavious
when the
time
comes.
Anyway,
just
wanted
you to
see how
your boy
is
doing.
He's
happy
and
healthy
and a
complete
pest
much of
the time
but
wouldn't
have him
any
other
way.
Hope all
is
well.
Love to
all the
kitties.
WINSTON
well, Winston has
been a great kitty so far. He turned 1
year old on the 12th and he's turned out
to be a great cat. Very mellow and
accepting of other people and kids. He's
not too keen on other cats, I've come to
find out. I tried taking him with me to
a friend's house for the day, so that I
could feed him his dinner, and he wanted
nothing to do with the situation. One
look at my friend's cat and he hissed,
growled, and hid under a hutch for the
remainder of the day. There will be no
more visits over there! When I last
emailed you, I was still trying to
figure out his little diarrhea mystery.
I'm happy to say that I finally got all
that figured out with a little
persistence and research. The vet could
do nothing but try more medication (the
same stuff you gave me the syringes of)
which I didn't want to do. I'd done some
reading suggesting that diet could play
a big role in his problem. So I dug
further and read time and time again the
benefits of a raw food diet. I found a
product that took the guesswork out of
preparing a balanced diet for cats while
still using raw materials. The company
is called Feline
Future. They sell a premix
powder that you add water and ground raw
meat to and then divide into twice daily
portions for your cat. I figured it
couldn't hurt to try. Winston was always
a glutton. I remember you telling me,
the day I picked him up, that you'd put
some treats out the night before and
he'd gobbled most of them up before the
other kittens could get any. But even
still I wasn't sure how he'd take to
this raw meat mixture. I'm happy to say
that he scarfed it right down with no
hesitation whatsoever. I've been feeding
him this diet, which is supposed to
mimic the nutrition found in small
rodents they would catch in the wild,
since late October. And I'm happy to say
that there hasn't been one more instance
of even a slightly loose stool. I just
thought I'd pass this info along in case
you wanted to try it on some of your own
cats or maybe even recommend it to some
of the people who adopt your kittens. Or
even recommend it to some patients at
the vet. The cost is very similar to a
good brand of dry or canned food. I'm
usually not one to advertise products.
But with the success that Winston has
had since eating this diet, I wanted to
share it with you. Thanks for
everything. I've also got some pictures
to send you once I get around to it.
Have a great day.
ALASTOR
Hi Suzanne!
Seeing as how this is Alastor's 9
month birthday, I figured this would be
a great time for an update and some
pictures of our growing boy!

Alastor
is doing great!
It has been so much fun watching
him grow and watching his personality
develop.
He is full of energy, loves to
play (especially in cardboard boxes and
shoe boxes), and loves messing with his
big brother and big sister.
He
has integrated perfectly into our
family; he has especially bonded with
Miser (our adult male) - they lay
together and Mister grooms Alastor all
the time.

He's
very affectionate though he's still
working on how to go about eliciting
attention :P - he starts to rub against
your leg and if you don't respond right
away he starts attacking!
And just the other day he hit me
in the head with his paw in an attempt
to get my attention - he is such a funny
little guy!
He's always making us laugh with
all his little kitten things.
I had almost forgotten
how much fun it is to have a kitten
around!
He's also pretty vocal; I love
listening to his little squeaks!
I
can't tell you how happy Mark and I are
with our little guy.
He really has brought such a fun
energy to our home.
And now time for the pics!
I'm particularly fond of the ones
taken the the bed you sent along with
him because you can really see how much
he has grown!
Thank you so much for everything.
You really are an
amazing breeder.
We never had to use the medicines
you sent but appreciate how thorough you
were with everything.
Thank you again!
We will be keeping on touch!

PS We registered his
chip and registered him with the CFA
