BOOBOO AND BEAU-BEAU

Hi Suzanne,

Everything is going well and Boo is doing fabulously!  He is incredibly cute (of course) and such a perfect little boy!!  He loves to cuddle and doesn't mind being picked up and hugged and kissed (just as long as we don't get too mushy about it.....yuck, aww, mom!).

Last night, he was sleeping in his favorite armchair (he sits up like a human and has one arm on the arm rest) and was snoozing.  Later on he was laying on the seat of the chair with his front legs sticking straight our....looked like superman flying!  Boo is so loveable and adorable.  He loves to walk on us while we're watching TV at night and snooze on our chest, shoulders, legs or laps.  In the mornings, he bumps his head against our faces to help us wake up.  After the head butt, he looks to see if our eyes open up and purrs all the time!  He is so gentle and sweet.

The entire staff at our veterinary clinic is in love with Boo.  Yesterday, we brought our dog in to the vets for her annual check up but everyone wanted to know about Boo.  His photo is even on their screen saver montage, showing in all their examining rooms!

Boo is a good eater and loves Blue Buffalo (Spa Dinners) - twice a day.  He also has dry food available at all times (Call of the Wild). Whenever he comes over to eat, our larger (and older by 3 months) Siberian cat, Beau-Beau moves away from the food dish to let Boo have full access.  Not sure what this means in cat behavior, but they seem to get along excellently.  As far as treats go, Boo tends to favor the crunchy ones, rather than the soft.  His favorite is Feline Greenies.  When we shake the treat container, he comes running (no matter if he's at the opposite end of the house).

Boo and Beau-Beau play together all the time.  They have really bonded and many times, curl up in the cat bed together and snooze (luckily, we have a large cat bed, that can accommodate both).  Although Boo doesn't play with the dogs, he's not afraid of them and often walks in front of them or over their paws, to get to the other side.  We think he's partial to our older dog, Teddie and often touches her nose with his (kind of a how-do-you-do type of greeting).  Boo constantly has us laughing. One of his most loved games is to run around his favorite armchair while being chased by Beau-Beau and then jumping up on the seat and watching the other cat run around the chair, chasing nothing!  We laugh so hard when Beau-Beau finally figures out that there is no Boo in front of him.  Just at that moment, Boo will jump on top of Beau-Beau and they tumble and the chase is on again.

We love Boo very, very much.  He's our "little man".  Here's some recent pictures (the last one is an old shot, but so cute, we had to include it).

Thanks for keeping in touch.

Ha ha ha ha....

Actually, the picture of the boys in the basket is our mail basket on the kitchen table and the shot of Boo alone in the cream color bowl is our fruit bowl (we had to find a new home for the fruit, so that Boo had all possible real estate)!  We have two separate cat beds laid out side by side (both are large size) but Beau-Beau and Boo prefer to snooze together.  Last week, Boo was slumped over both beds (head in one bed, tail in the other).........kind of a cat bridge (guess he couldn't decide which one he liked better).  We probably will look at getting a dog bed, so that they both can be comfortable (as they both will be getting bigger).

Thanks.

Mary and Sue

WILBUR

I have another cat and 4 labs in the house with Wilbur....I take out the vaccuum cleaner and they all run except WILBUR....he looks right at it like he is the king...in such a short time in the house he is ruling  over the dogs...it funny to see a 90 pound lab refusing to walk out of a room because Wilbur is in the hallway......Zara is holding her own....she will not give up the top level of any of the cat trees....Wilbur must be on level below and attacks Zara's tail....

We are enjoying him

Denise

Were on it......he is active and very playful and eating just fine....  loves playing with the cat toys and is a great soccer player...and is loving being held and having his belly rubbed...it took 2 days(with alot of scratch marks on me) but he is just fine with being touched now....I can even brush him daily....

I'll talk to  you soon and will give you an update.........

He is doing really well.....he has only sneezed once  or twice since he has been here......Do you think its a cold?  He really not sneezing much at all........If you can think of anything else let me know...and to let you know Wilbur is a love bug...he follows us every where in the house and meows if he can't see us....last need he insisted on sleeping in our bed....I keep putting him on the floor in his bed and that did not last....we love him here....and he will be well cared for...And my 4 labrador are afraid of him...they will not walk close to him....we have to laugh because it took a 3 pound kitten to whip the labs into shape...

I just wanted you to see that Wilbur is doing very will with Zara (Bengal)....he is a very active boy and has not missed the litter pan(YEEPIEEEEE)

Wilbur arrived safe and sound....He is looking good and working on being held.....I trimmed him nails and brushed him, he did fine...he needs a bath I will do that tonight(should be fun) he soiled himself in the crate...I still have him in a small quiet room with some cat trees and he really enjoys exploring.....he meet the bengal and did not seem to faze him at all...she was very interested in him....

Suzanne,

Here's couple pics I might have sent you before, or maybe not...

 PUMPKIN

Well we survived our first nite together.  Pumpkin slept on the bed with me, next to my pillow.  She has had a few bites of dry food and little bit of wet.  She will not train me like Quincy did with the wet food all the time.  I learned my lesson, lol!  She is quite the climber and explorer and becoming very loving as well.  She just stuck her face in my cup of tea and tried to take a taste.  She is like the energizer bunny, keeps going and going and can jump like a kangaroo!!  Because of my work schedule, I will hold off on introductions until I get home from work Monday morning.  Here's hoping I didn't make a big mistake getting a second cat and freaking out Quincy.  She is adorable and I love her.

CHARLOTTE AND AUSTIN

Hi Suzanne,

I thought you’d like to see the attached photos since Austin is now a year old.

As you’ll see in the first, Charlotte and Austin are very close, so much so that she doesn’t mind that he’s dropping his leg on her head!

The second is Austin in his full glory.

I hope all is well.

Best,

Shelley

OUACHITA DREAMGIRL

Hi Suzanne,

Dreamer, now oficially Ouachita Dreamgirl, would like to be on your testimonial page! I sent you a much tamer photo.

It's been a month and Dreamer seems like she has always been a member of the family. Everyone who meets her loves her, and of course, petting her soft, plush fur. She made a visit to the vet to get established and was the hit of the clinic - no one had ever seen a British Shorthair before. They even gave me the latest edition of Cat Fancy (Sept. 2010) and said "look what is on the cover!" It was a BH.

She is so ready and willing to go with the flow - whatever I am doing is fine with her - if it's play time, great! If it's time to watch a movie or read a book, she is content to snuggle in. She has a few passions in life - canned cat food, toys with feathers, and the chipmunk who taunts her from the patio deck.

She is a cherished member of the family - thanks Suzanne.

PEBBLES

Suzanne, Thank you Thank you Thank you Thank you! She is the most sweetest loving kitten I have ever seen! My father just loves her also he took like 50 pictures as so did I. Pebbles arrived to my front door at 10:15pm pacific time(Delta was real nice in doing a home delivery) and now It's 1:00 and she finally getting sleepy. She excited her carrier in about 15 seconds after placing it in her safe room and did not even go potty in there I could not believe it. I then played with her non stop for 2 1/2 hours what a bundle of energy she loves her toys, I filled her room with them. She has used her litter box 2 times and has eaten her wet foot 2 times has not had any water yet. She has almost an instant bond with me and we have been giving her tons off affection.

I can't thank you enough the joy you have brought me today and the future in raising real healthy(no sneezing and her eyes don't appear watery) happy kitten. I could not be happier she is more than I expected.

I already sent in the CFA registration papers and will also send in the microchip registration papers soon. I was a very nice bonus with the chip as I did not see it mentioned on your site and was not expecting it.Thanks again to yourself and Todd for all your hard work you are the real deal and I sincerely appreciate it.Bravo! Greg

CATRINE

We have never seen such an affectionate kitten.  Catrine is such a lover, and is an amazing toy afficionado.

The flight from LIT to ATL was miserable--lots of turbulence, and she yelled every time it got bumpy.  From ATL to DAY was better, but half the flight crew and several passengers insisted on handling her after we landed, and it took me almost a half hour to get off the plane.  In Dayton, I transferred her to a big carrier that I had put a 9x13 baking pan loaded with litter inside.  She peed twice on the way home; I was grateful she held it for so long until then.  You were right about her not liking car rides.  She bitched for 2 hours, caterwauling until I talked to her and sang to her.  Then she'd shut up for about 5 minutes and start in again.  I exhausted my entire repertoire of lullabies and church hymns.

The American shorthair is now less timid because Catrine is here.  Although the ASH is a little bigger, Catrine stands up to her in everything except "who gets the highest platform on the tall cat tree."  Actually, with her ball-controlling skills that would make Pele jealous, and her lovey-snuggly personality, she's doing a good job making her new sister look bad.  I'll send you a photo of the American.  There has been no hissing or clawing.  The first day, Catrine just arched her back a lot; now both of them just swat, but with claws retracted.  Nobody seems too serious about anything except the chow line, so we feed them separately.

I know you're busy as heck; just wanted you to know everything is fine and we love her so dearly.

Thanks again for being such a great kittymommy.

Carol
